Sevacare participates in Nottingham's Health and Social Skills Show 2017

Nottingham's education business partnership the Aspire projest - arranged a Health and Social skills show on 19th July which was attened by students from Bulwell Academy, Nottingham Girls Academy and the Nottigham Academy.

Sevacare Nottingham Branch teamed up with local career experts from Futures Advice, Skills and Employment to address staff shortages and tackle future recruitment needs in the sector.

Students had hands-on experience of simulated surgery in an operating theatre, healthcare science and care activity as well learning more about roles such as:

  • Dementia care specialist
  • Healthcare Scientists and assistants
  • Nurses and many more

This inspirational career learning experience focused on celebrating science and innovation in health and social care. The event was made possible thanks to the Aspire project - Nottingham's education business partnership - bringing schools into contact with real employers to inspire pupils about their future careers.

Big well done to our branch manager Jeanette Shaw and our support workers, Hassam Hammed and Adelle Brandon for taking part.
