In Summer 2016 the Sevacare staff at Hampton House held a summer fayre to raise money for a water feature for the residents. They raised over £400 by selling cakes, face painting, Mehndi patterns and other fun activities. Care workers bought along their families and residents were also invited along.
One of the residents was taken to choose the water feature, it was installed by a generous friend of the manager Johanna Miller who asked for nothing in return for fitting the water feature in the reception area. We would like to thank Nassa for his generosity and hard work.
The new water feature was unveiled at the Christmas fayre held by Sevacare staff on 10th December. A further £300 was raised through the generosity of service users, staff and their families which has been spent on festivities for the residents. They have even booked a Michael Buble tribute (Tony O’Dee) for the party and the residents and staff are very much looking forward to the evening.
Johanna Miller, Scheme Manager commented, “We are so please we have been able to do something positive for the residents, the water feature will be something they can visit all year round and really will bring joy to many. We are delighted to have raised enough money to provide a Christmas party for the residents and will do all we can to ensure the residents have a fantastic evening.”
Ravi Bains, CEO commented, “This is just one example of the extra efforts our staff go to. I am thrilled to see what they have achieved in 6 months and the generosity of so many people around this time of year. I would like to wish all our staff and service users a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.”
